ELECTION TIME!The election process will begin at the regular meeting Saturday, November 13th which starts at 2pm. This process will begin with nominations for officers for two-year term (2011-2012)
If there are two or more nominations for the same office, then the election will take place during the regular meeting in December 11th.
After officers are elected, then nominations and voting will take place for board members on December 11th. Board members will serve a one-year term during 2011.
20 ladies had fun playing Canasta on Saturday, October 30th. All were in the spirit of Halloween wearing orange and black. Among the winners were Irene Argule, Ricky Nikolaus, Susan Liese, Doris Berman, Margie Gompers, Ruth Ann Miller and Elly Struble.. The next tournament will be on Saturday, January 29th, 2011. ANNUAL THANKSGIVING DINNER
The Annual Thanksgiving Dinner will be held on Saturday, November 13th at 5:00 pm after the regular meeting.
The dinner will be prepared by Sahara DeVol (Deafinitely Cooking).Menu will include the following: hot turkey and gravy, stuffings, sweet potatoes, mashed potatoes, green beans, cranberry sauce, homemade dinner rolls, pumpkin pie and applesauce.
There will be drawings for free Turkeys.
Cost is $10.00 paid in advance, $15.00 at door. Admission is $2.00 for member, $5.00 for non-members

"BLACK SAND" MOVIEBlack Sand will be shown at Schott Communities for the Deaf on Saturday, November 6, 2010 at 3pm.
Schott Communities is located at 6591 S. Flamingo Road, Cooper City, Fl 33330.

The Greater Ft. Lauderdale Association of the Deaf will be celebrating Happy Thanksgiving on Saturday, November 20, 2010 at BCAD clubhouse.
Dingo games starts at 9pm.. $10 to play 5 games with top prizes of $55 per game.
Admission is $3.00 to benefit the Senior Citizens Golf Tournament 2011.
No children under age of 21 allowed.
TEXAS HOLD'EM EVENTOriginally planned for February 5th at BCAD, it was learned that DeafNation Expo will be open the same day somewhere in Southeastern Florida.
