BCAD To Close!

Board Election Results!
Six members elected to Board of Governors The election was held at BCAD on Saturday, December 12th following the monthly regular meeting. Board members elected for 2010 are the following: Betty Oshman, Norman Finkelstein, Vito Grigoli, Margie Gompers, Eleanor Struble, and Elizabeth Berger. By popular votes, Betty Oshman will officiate future meetings when the President and Vice President are not available. Incoming board members will meet with outgoing board members during the next board meeting in January. |
FAD Host Film: 'Gerald'
The ASLfilm called 'Gerald' will be presented by FAD at the Lake Worth Playhouse on Sunday, January 3rd. June McMahon has tickets available. To buy tickets for the viewing, please contact June McMahon. FAD will have additional screenings of the film in Florida. Dates and places will be announced. |

2010 Dues Now Accepted
BCAD's membership secretary, Aurora Solomon, said she is now accepting payments for dues for 2010. Members can pay her anytime between now until the end of February. If you pay her by check during December, she will not process the checks until after the New Year starts. |
Proposed Bylaws Change!
Change to affect board meetingsCurrent bylaws prescribe that board meetings will be held monthly except during the months of June and July. A motion was presented to revise the meetings to be held every two months instead of monthly. As required, this motion is now posted for 30 days before the members can vote on this. This motion will be acted upon during Unfinished Business at the next regular meeting to be held on Saturday, January 9th, 2010. |
Here Comes Canasta Tournament!

Superbowl
Party
SuperBowl XLIV is coming to Miami Dolphin Stadium on Sunday, Feb 7th, 2010. Watching the Superbowl at BCAD is one of our most popular events held annually at the clubhouse where many football fans are glued to the giant television in our clubroom. While the men watch the games, the ladies play cards and only look up to see the results of each quarter or to eat at the all you can eat buffet. So hold that date! More info to follow! |

Deafhood workshop will be in Tampa on Jan 30, 2010 FAD will have board meetings in Clearwater on February 19th, Daytona Beach on April 9th, and at BCAD in Pompano Beach on September 25th. Read more |

GFTLAD
The Greater Ft. Lauderdale Association of the Deaf is having their annual Holiday Dinner on December 19th at BCAD clubhouse. Dinner starts at 6pm and is free to all GFTLAD members ($7.00 for nonmembers). There will be Dingo games and Texas Hold'Em Poker. Admission is Free! |
